Singer Yinka Ayefele Reacts To Rumour That He Is Now A Muslim
Popular gospel singer, Yinka Ayefele has said he remains a Christian, and nothing can make him change his faith. News went out yesterday that the Ibadan based gospel act has indeed converted into a Muslim, but the singer says never, stating clearly that he remains with Jesus. Here’s a press statement released by his publicist, David Ajiboye yesterday.
“We believe the rumour must have emanated from the annual Ramadan Lecture, which Fresh 105.9FM, owned by Ayefele, organized on Tuesday, in Ibadan.
“Our station, Fresh 105.9FM had invited popular Islamic preacher, Alhaji Muideen Ajani Bello, as the Guest Preacher at our annual Ramadan Lecture which had over 4,000 people in attendance and because of this, some naïve minds went to town to spread the rumour about Ayefele’s conversion.”
Ajiboye stated further that the station is for everybody irrespective of your religion, race or colour, adding:
“We believe its part of our social responsibility to organize such a spiritual rebirth programme to sensitize our Muslim listeners on the ideals of Islam most especially in this holy season.”

34 year old, Aaron Chervenak, from Los Angeles, traveled to Vegas just so he could say ‘I do’ to his smartphone.He married his cellphone at The Little Vegas Chapel in Nevada last month in an attempt to make a point about society’s growing devotion to and reliance on their smartphones.
Aaron said in a video documenting his peculiar wedding.
‘If we’re gonna be honest with ourselves, we connect with our phones on so many emotional levels,’ ‘We look to it for solace, to calm us down, to put us to sleep, to ease our minds, and to me, that’s also what a relationship is about.’ So in a sense my smartphone has been my longest relationship,’ he added. ‘That’s why I decided to see what it was like to actually marry a phone.’

Two Robbers Arrested While Trying To Rob A Lawyer In Warri (Photos)
According to an eye witness these two robbers were almost lynched yesterday, after a failed attempt to rob a man of his belongings around Enehren, Sefia Close, in Warri, Delta state.
The man identified as a lawyer left entered a Keke, unaware of the fact that he was being trailed by the suspect who were probably acting on a tip-off.
When the robbers also entered same Keke, the lawyer became suspicious and raised alarm. They were immediately apprehended and were about to be burnt alive but fortunately rescued by a vigilante team.
On interrogation, they claimed it was hunger that led them into crime. One of them also claimed that his wife had just delivered and he had no means to take care of the newborn. However, no weapon was found on them.

According to Daily Mail, Arya Permana, named the world’s fattest child, weighs an eye-watering 192 kilograms and eats five meals a day consisting of rice, fish, beef, vegetable soup and Tempeh – a soy patty large enough to feed two adults.
Arya, from West Java Province in Indonesia, has dropped out of school as he can no longer walk and his mother Rokayah said he is ‘perpetually hungry’. Arya’s parents have decided to limit the amount the ten-year-old eats per day and he is now on a diet of just brown rice.

Horrible! Man Beh’eads 70-Year-Old Farmer (See Photos)
A young man has reportedly beheaded a 70-year-old man at Hohoe in the Volta Region on Tuesday.
The suspect, Fred Mensah was said to have met the the old man on his way to the farm and butchered him without an provocation.
He chopped off the head and hands of the old man who was working on his farm.
After the dastardly act, the suspect who is said to be mentally challenged paraded the town with the severed head and hands following which he was arrested by the youth of the town who called in the police.
Eben Salifu, a resident, who spoke to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said the timely intervention by the police saved the suspect from being lynched by the angry residents.

6. Ifeanyi Okowa:The Delta state governor is referredto as‘Opolo Eye’by some people. This is because he has big eye balls. “Opolo” is the Yoruba translation for toad.
7. Mallam Nasir El Rufai:The Kaduna state governor is referred to as‘Mai Rusau’ and ‘Hell-Rufai’which means The Demolisher. This is because of his actions when he was Nigeria’s FCT Minister and there were so many demolitions in Abuja and likewisein Kaduna where he is the current state governor.
8. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi:The governor of Enugu state got the name‘Cry Cry Baby’,following his shedding of tears when hevisited Ukpabi, Nimbo, in Uzo-Uwani local government area of the state after they were attacked by Fulani herdsmen.
9. Abdulfatah Ahmed:the Kwara state governor is called‘Omoodo Saraki’(Saraki’s House Boy).
